HomeMy WebLinkAbout028123 ORD - 04/21/2009Page 1 of 2 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $19,968 IN THE GENERAL FUND NO: 1020 FOR REIMBURSEMENT FROM NUECES COUNTY FOR LIFEGUARD SERVICES ON NUECES COUNTY GULF BEACHES; CHANGING FY 2008-2009 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 027776 TO INCREASE ESTIMATED REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $19,968 EACH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $19,968 is appropriated in the General Fund No. 1020 for reimbursement from Nueces County for lifeguard services on Nueces County Gulf Beaches; changing FY 2008-2009 Operating Budget adopted by Ordinance 027776 to increase estimated revenues and appropriations by $19,968 each. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinanc j passed nd takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ?I day of 4,c , 2009.
