HomeMy WebLinkAbout028156 ORD - 05/12/2009ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $50,000 FROM COASTAL BEND BAYS & ESTUARIES PROGRAM, INC., IN THE NO. 1058, MARINA GRANTS FUND FOR A MARINA DEBRIS MANAGEMENT PLAN AND PILOT PROJECT; AMENDING FY 2008-2009 OPERATING BUDGET; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $50,000 from Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program, Inc., is appropriated in the No. 1058, Marina Grants Fund for a Marina Debris Management Plan and Pilot Project. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 027352, which adopted the FY 2008-2009 Operating Fund, is changed to increase appropriations by $50,000. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance isssed and takes effect upon first rpading as an emergency measure on this the kntlay of , 2009.
