8, One replacement 10,000 gross vehicle weight van with utility body and
aerial lift be purchased from UEC Equipment Company, Houston, Texas,
on the basis of low bid meeting specifications of $29,028. The
apparent low bid of $28,314 by Commercial Body Corporation of San
Antonio does not contain insulation to protest against electrical
shock should the unit come in contact with power lines. The unit is
included in the 1981 -82 Budget and will be used by Traffic and Transit
for maintenance of traffic signals.
