HomeMy WebLinkAbout028236 ORD - 07/21/2009AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,010,220 FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION GRANT NO. 3-48-0051-045-2009 IN THE NO. 3020 AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND TO CONSTRUCT THE MAINTENANCE/STORAGE EQUIPMENT BUILDING, PHASE III, PERIMETER SERVICE ROAD, PHASE II, REHABILITATE TERMINAL BUILDING, PHASE 1, AND WIDEN TAXIWAY B-4, PHASE 1, AT CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Grant No. 3-48-0051-045-2009, in the amount of $2,010,200, received from the Federal Aviation Administration is appropriated in the No. 3020 Airport Capital Improvement Fund to construct the maintenance/storage equipment building, Phase 111, and the perimeter service road, Phase 11, rehabilitate the terminal building, Phase 1, and widen Taxiway B-4, Phase!, at Corpus Christi International Airport. SECTION 2. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two reegular meetings so that this ordinance is passe d and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure on this the o</ day of , 2009.
