HomeMy WebLinkAbout028368 ORD - 10/27/2009ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $340,944.00 FROM ANTICIPATED REVENUES RECEIVED FROM WORK PERFORMED BY THE STREET DEPARTMENT FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS INTO THE GENERAL FUND NO. 1020 FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) ASPHALT PAVER, CHANGING THE FY 2009-2010 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 028252 BY INCREASING REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES BY $340,944.00, EACH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. An amount of $340,944.00 from anticipated revenues received from work performed by the Street Department for Capital Improvement Projects is appropriated into the General Fund No. 1020 for the purchase of one (1) asphalt paver. SECTION 2. The FY 2009-2010 Operating Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 028252 is changed by increasing Revenues and Expenditures by $340,944.00, each. SECTION 3. Upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 27th of October, 2009.
