A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR DESIGNEE, TO ACCEPT
GRANTS FROM: THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT'S
SAFE BOATING ACCESS PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $500,000,
THE COASTAL BEND BAYS & ESTUARIES PROGRAM IN THE
AMOUNT OF $50,000, AND THE SALTWATER -FISHERIES
ENHANCEMENT ASSOCIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $67,000 FOR
RECONSTRUCTION OF BOAT RAMP LOCATED NEAR JOHN F.
KENNEDY CAUSEWAY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF STATE HIGHWAY
358 ON PACKERY CHANNEL; WITH CITY GRANT MATCH OF $50,000
IN THE 3289 PARKS AND RECREATION CIP FUND FOR A TOTAL
PROJECT COST OF $667,000
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to accept grants from: The
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Safe Boating Access Program in the amount of
$500,000, the Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program in the amount of 450,000, and
the Saltwater -fisheries Enhancement Association in the amount of $67,000 for
reconstruction of boat ramps located near John F. Kennedy Causeway on the north side
of State Highway 358 on Packery Channel, with City grant match of $50,000 in the 3289
Parks and Recreation CIP Fund for a total project cost of $667,000.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately after its
adoption by the City Council.
