HomeMy WebLinkAbout028489 ORD - 02/23/2010Page 1 of 1' ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $132,137.59 FROM CITY'S PROPERTY INSURANCE CLAIM; CHANGING THE FY 2009-2010 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 028252, TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY $132,137.59 IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND TO PAY FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT CAMERA EQUIPMENT FOR NARCOTICS INTERDICTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $132,137.59 from the City's property insurance claim is appropriated; changing the FY 2009-2010 Operating Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 028252 to increase appropriations by $132,137.59 in the No. 1020 General Fund to pay for Police Department camera equipment for narcotics interdiction. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinan e i passreand takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the of t-d�� , 2010.
