APPROPRIATING A $775,611 GRANT FROM THE AREA AGENCY ON
AGING OF THE COASTAL BEND IN THE NO. 1067 PARKS AND
RECREATION GRANTS FUND FOR THE FY 2010 SENIOR COMMUNITY
SERVICES, ELDERLY NUTRITION PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. A $775,611 grant is appropriated from the Area Agency on Aging of the
Coastal Bend for the FY 2010 Senior Community Services, Elderly Nutrition Program in
the No. 1067 Parks and Recreation Grants Fund.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy
attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate
action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends
the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings so
that this o di nce is passed nd shall take effect upon first reading as an
emergency this the dayof 2010.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and

at the present meeting of the City Council.
