HomeMy WebLinkAbout028558 ORD - 04/20/2010ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $4,000 FROM THE OFFICE OF JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASK FORCE PROGRAM IN THE NO. 1061 POLICE GRANTS FUND FOR THE INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASK FORCE PROGRAM FOR THE PURCHASE OF TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $4,000 is appropriated from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund for the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program for the purchase of training and equipment; and declaring an emergency. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council Members, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends that Charter rule which requires an ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two regular meetings, so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect as an emergency measure upon its first reading, this the 0120 day of April, 2010.
