DEDICATING RESOURCES, WITH THE COMMITMENT OF AMERICAN BANK
CENTER AT A COST OF $15,000, TO SUPPORT THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI'S
BID FOR THE 2014 JOINT INSTITUTE AND TRADE SHOW OF THE TEXAS
RECREATION AND PARK SOCIETY WITH THE TEXAS PARK AND WILDLIFE
DEPARTMENT AND SOUTHWEST REGION OF THE NATIONAL RECREATION AND
PARK ASSOCIATION, TO BE HELD IN CORPUS CHRISTI FEBRUARY 18
THROUGH FEBRUARY 21, 2014, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the City Council endorses the City of Corpus Christi bid submission
for the 2014 Joint Institute and Trade Show of the Texas Recreation and Park Society
with the Texas Park and Wildlife Department and Southwest Region of the National
Recreation and Park Association, to be held in Corpus Christi on February 18 to
February 21, 2014.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to dedicate resources
through the commitment of American Bank Center at cost of $15,000, to support the bid
for the 2014 Joint Institute and Trade Show of the Texas Recreation and Park Society
with the Texas Park and Wildlife Department and Southwest Region of the National
Recreation and Park Association, to be held in Corpus Christi on February 18 to
February 21, 2014.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be and become effective immediately and after its
adoption and approval.
