AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO ACCEPT
A GRANT OF $50,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE
HEALTH SERVICES FOR PERSONNEL COSTS AND TRAVEL
EXPENSES TO FUND A HOSPITAL PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM
RELATING TO A PLAN FOR RESPONDING TO AN ACT OF
TERRORISM AND TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS; AND
RATIFYING ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT TO BEGIN
JULY 1, 2010.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to accept a grant of
$50,000 from the Texas Department of State Health Services for personnel costs and
travel expenses to fund a Hospital Preparedness Program relating to a plan for
responding to an act of terrorism and to execute all related documents. Furthermore,
the City Council ratifies acceptance of the grant agreement to begin July 1, 2010.
