AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO ACCEPT
A GRANT OF $180,351 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE
HEALTH SERVICES FOR PERSONNEL COSTS, EQUIPMENT, AND
OTHER EXPENSES TO PROVIDE A PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY
PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM RELATING TO A PLAN FOR
RESPONDING TO AN ACT OF TERRORISM AND TO EXECUTE ALL
RELATED DOCUMENTS; AND RATIFYING ACCEPTANCE OF THE
GRANT AGREEMENT TO BEGIN AUGUST 1, 2010.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to accept a grant of
$180,351 from the Texas Department of State Health Services for personnel costs,
equipment, and other expenses to provide a Public Health Emergency Preparedness
Program relating to a plan for responding to an act of terrorism and to execute all
related documents. Furthermore, the City Council ratifies acceptance of the grant
agreement to begin August 1, 2010.
