AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO SUBMIT
A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, OFFICE OF PUBLIC AND INDIAN
HOUSING, IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 FOR A TWO-YEAR CHOICE
NEIGHBORHOODS INITIATIVES ROUND 1 PLANNING GRANT TO
SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE
TRANSFORMATION PLAN FOR THE TARGET AREA BOUNDED BY
MORGAN, SOUTH PORT, AGNES AND CROSSTOWN, ALSO KNOWN
AS CENSUS TRACT 10, WITH A 5% CITY MATCH REQUIREMENT
AND TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS.
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS,
THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to submit a grant
application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Public
and Indian Housing, in the amount of $250,000, for a two-year Choice Neighborhoods
Initiatives Round 1 Planning Grant to support the development of a comprehensive
transformation plan for the target area bounded by Morgan, South Port, Agnes and
Crosstown, also known as Census Tract 10, with a 5% City match requirement and to
execute all related documents.
