HomeMy WebLinkAbout028845 ORD - 11/16/2010AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ESTIMATED REVENUES OF $461,467 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES IN THE NO. 1066 HEALTH GRANTS FUND DUE TO A THREE-MONTH GRANT EXTENSION FROM OCTOBER 1, 2010 — DECEMBER 31, 2010, OF THE WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Estimated revenues, in the amount of $461,467 from the Texas Department of State Health Services, is appropriated in the No. 1066 Health Grants Fund due to a three-month grant extension of the Women, Infants, and Children Program. SECTION 2. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure on this the ��� day of iav , 2010.
