RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE
ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT
OF $85,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH
SERVICES FOR PHASE 11 OF THE GOVERNOR'S ADVISORY COUNCIL ON
PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT,
THROUGH THE MAYOR'S FITNESS COUNCIL, A COMMUNITY -WIDE
CAMPAIGN TO ENHANCE ACCESS TO AND AWARENESS OE
OPPORTUNITIES FOR PHYSICAL FITNESS ACTIVITY WITHIN THE
COMMUNITY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to accept a grant in the amount of $85,000 from the Texas
Department of State Health Services for Phase II of the Governor's Advisory
Council on Physical Fitness Program to develop and implement, through the
Mayor's Fitness Council, a community -wide campaign to enhance access to and
awareness of opportunities for physical fitness activity within the community.
