APPROPRIATING $20,000 FROM THE RADIO SYSTEM CAPITAL
REPLACEMENT RESERVE FUND, AMENDING THE FY 10-11
BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 028683 TO INCREASE
APPROPRIATIONS BY $20,000 IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND
POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET TO PAY FOR SOFTWARE
UPGRADES FOR THE 800 MHZ RADIO SYSTEM; AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $20,000 is appropriated from the Radio System Capital
Replacement Reserve Fund, amending the FY 10-11 budget, adopted by Ordinance
No. 028683 to increase appropriations by $20,000 in the No. 1020 General Fund
Police Department budget to pay for software upgrades for the 800 Mhz radio system.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of. the Mayor or five Council Members, the
City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate
action for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and, (2) suspends
that Charter rule which requires an .ordinance to be considered and voted upon at two
regular meetings, so that this ordinance i passed and takes effect as an emergency
measure upon its first reading, this the day of February, 2011.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: Ilwe, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.

drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject to
