AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO ACCEPT A
GRANT OF $80,000 FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF STATE
HEALTH SERVICES TO PROVIDE DIABETES PREVENTION AND
MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED
DOCUMENTS; AND TO RATIFY ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT TO
BEGIN AS OF MARCH 30, 2011.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to accept a grant of
$80,000 from the Texas Department of State Health Services to provide diabetes
prevention and management services and to execute all related documents.
Additionally, the City Council ratifies acceptance of the grant to begin as of March 30,
2011.
