HomeMy WebLinkAbout029037 ORD - 04/26/2011ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $300,000 FROM AN ANONYMOUS DONATION INTO THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND FOR SUPPORT OF THE DECORATIVE LIGHTING OF THE HARBOR BRIDGE PROJECT; CHANGING THE FY 2010-2011 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 028683 TO INCREASE REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY $300,000 EACH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $300,000 from an anonymous donation is appropriated into the No. 1020 General Fund for the support of the Decorative Lighting of the Harbor Bridge Project. SECTION 2. That the FY 2010-2011 Operating Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 028683 is changed to increase revenues and expenditures by $300,000 each. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of the voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance s passed and - kes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of s�C� �' , 2011.
