APPROPRIATING A GRANT FROM THE MARCH OF DIMES IN THE
AMOUNT OF $2,000 IN THE NO. 1066 HEALTH GRANTS FUND, AS
THE FIDUCIARY AGENT ON BEHALF OF THE REGIONAL HEALTH
AWARENESS BOARD, FOR COMMUNITY AWARENESS
PUBLICATIONS TO BE PROVIDED BY THE BOARD; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A grant from the March of Dimes in the amount of $2,000 is appropriated
in the No. 1066 Health Grants Fund, as the fiduciary agent on behalf of the Regional
Health Awareness Board, for community awareness publications to be provided by the
board.
SECTION 2. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs,
and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passA and takes effect
upon first readin as an emergency measure on this the / day of

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and

at the present meeting of the City Council.

drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject to
