AN ORDINANCE
APPROPRIATING $ 54,309.99 IN DEVELOPER CONTRIBUTIONS AND
$ 1,679.64 IN INTEREST EARNINGS FOR A SUM OF $ 55,989.63 IN
THE NO, 4720 COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT FUND FOR PARK
IMPROVEMENTS, AND OTHER RELATED PROJECTS; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Whereas, City of Corpus Christi Ordinance provides that should the City accept fees in
lieu of land for park dedication, the fees shall be placed in the City's Community
Enrichment Fund for the acquisition or improvement of parks most likely to serve the
residents of the subdivision, which shall in no case be located more than one and one-
half miles from the subdivision, and for the parkland acquisition and park development
including utility extensions required to serve recreational areas;
Whereas, City Ordinance provides that park development fees may be used only for
development of a public recreational area that will serve the subdivision consistent with
the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $54,309.99 in developer contributions and $ 1,679.64 in interest
earnings for a sum of $55,989.63 in the No. 4720 Community Enrichment Fund is
appropriated for park improvements and other related projects.
SECTION 2 That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy
attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 1, -day of July, 2011.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.

I, the Director of Financial Services of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (or his/her duly
authorized representative), hereby certify to the City Council and other appropriate officers
that the money required for the current fiscal year's portion of the contract, agreement,
obligation or expenditure described below is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund
specified below, from which it is to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other
purpose. Future payments are subject to annual appropriation by the City Council.
