HomeMy WebLinkAbout029133 ORD - 07/19/2011Page 1 of 2 ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $3,500 IN DONATIONS IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND FOR EXPENSES INCURRED IN RELATION TO THE CITY MANAGER'S WELCOME RECEPTION ON MAY 4, 2011; CHANGING FY 2010-2011 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 028683 BY INCREASING REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES BY $3,500 EACH; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $3,500 in donations in the No. 1020 General Fund is appropriated for expenses incurred in relation to the City Manager's Welcome Reception on May 4, 2011. SECTION 2. That the FY 2010-2011 operating budget adopted by Ordinance 028683 is changed to increase revenues and expenditures by $3,500 each. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinan,c,Vs passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the flay of _9, 2011.
