HomeMy WebLinkAbout029156 ORD - 07/26/2011ORDINANCE TO RATIFY INCREASE OF $1,058,875 IN PROPERTY TAX REVENUES FROM LAST YEAR'S OPERATING BUDGET AS REFLECTED IN THE 2011-2012 OPERATING BUDGET. Whereas, Section 102.007 (c) of the Texas Local Government Code provides that adoption of a budget that will require raising more revenue from property taxes than in the previous year requires a separate vote of the governing body to ratify the property tax increase reflected in the budget and that a vote under this subsection is in addition to and separate from the vote to adopt the budget or a vote to set the tax rate; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1.
