Page 1 of 2 Resolution authorizing the City Manager or designee to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration in the amount of $2,000,000 for the Chaparral Street Redevelopment Project, Phase 1, to convert Chaparral Street (now a one-way) from Schatzel Street to William Street into a two-way vehicle/pedestrian-friendly corridor, with a city match of $1,000,000 coming from Street 2008 Bond issue, and a total project cost of $2,000,000. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration in the amount of $2,000,000 for the Chaparral Street Redevelopment Project - Phase 1, to convert Chaparral Street (now a one-way) from Schatzel Street to William Street into a two-way vehicle/pedestrian-friendly corridor, with a city match of $1,000,000 coming from the Street 2008 Bond Issue, and a total project cost of $2,000,000.
