Ordinance amending the FY 2012 Capital Improvement Budget
adopted by Ordinance No. 029135 adding Project #E11102 Energy
Efficiency Conservation Retrofit for Major City Facilities; increasing
revenues and expenditures in the amount of $7,300,000.00; and
declaring an emergency.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Corpus Christi, Texas, that:
Section 1. The FY 2011-2012 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance 029135 is
amended to add Project #E11102 Energy Efficiency Conservation Retrofit for Major City
Facilities.
Section 2. The FY 2011-2012 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance 029135 is
amended to increase revenues and expenditures in the amount of $7,300,000.00.
Section 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five council members, copy
attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take
effect upon first reading as an emergency this the 114- day of January, 2012.

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.
