HomeMy WebLinkAbout029434 ORD - 04/10/2012Ordinance appropriating a grant amendment in the amount of $500,354 from the Texas Department of State Health Services in the No. 1066 Health Grants Fund for, the Women, Infants, and Children Program resulting from an extension of the term of the grant agreement; and declaring an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. A grant amendment in the amount of $500,354 from the Texas Department of State Health Services is appropriated in the No. 1066 Health Grants Fund for the Women, Infants, and Children Program, which resulted from an extension of the term of the grant agreement. SECTION 2. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reeding gs an emergency measure on this the 1 CP^ day of -e , 2012.
