ten -year Lease Agreement with South Texas Institute for the Arts for
the use of an approximately 1.37 acre tract including improvements
located near intersection of Agnes Street at 18th Street, to be used to
operate the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center; providing for
severance; and providing for publication.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute a ten -year
Lease Agreement with South Texas Institute for the Arts for the use of an approximately
1.37 acre tract including improvements located near intersection of Agnes Street at 18th
Street, to be used to operate the Antonio E. Garcia Arts & Education Center. A copy of
the contract shall be filed with the City Secretary's Office.
SECTION 2. If, for any reason, any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase,
word, or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final
judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section,
paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the
definite intent of the City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, phrase,
word and provision hereof shall be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus
Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
