designate the speed limit for Hazel Bazemore Rd to 55 MPH between
Northwest Blvd. (FM 624) and County Road 52; providing for
penalties; providing for severance; and providing for publication.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 53 -254, Article VIII of the City of Corpus Christi Code of
Ordinances is amended by adding the following text between the subsections titled
"Greenwood Drive" and "Holly Road" of Schedule V:
CHAPTER 53 TRAFFIC
ARTICLE VIII. SCHEDULES
Section 53 -254 Schedule V, increase of state speed limit in certain zones
"Hazel Bazemore Rd (County Road 69):
From Northwest Blvd. (FM 624) to County Road 52
—55 mph—All times "
SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word
or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of
a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent
of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of
Corpus Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
SECTION 4. Penalties are as provided in Section 53 -55 of the Code of Ordinances.
