documents necessary to accept and appropriate a grant in the amount of
$447,758.00 from the Texas Department of State Health Services in the
Health Grants Fund No. 1066, to provide funds for the Women, Infants, and
Children (WIC) program; and to ratify acceptance of the grant to begin as of
October 1, 2013.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
Section 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept and appropriate a grant in the amount of $447,758.00 from the
Texas Department of State Health Services in the Health Grants Fund No. 1066, to
provide funds for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, based on a $12.34
reimbursement for each participant served (Contract #2014 - 045103).
Section 2. The City Council ratifies acceptance of the grant to begin as of October 1,
2013. A copy of the documents shall be filed in the office of the City Secretary.

1, the Director of Financial Services of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (or his/her duly
authorized representative), hereby certify to the City Council and other appropriate officers that
the money required for the current fiscal year's portion of the contract, agreement, obligation

from which it is to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future
