HomeMy WebLinkAbout030748 RES - 01/26/2016 Resolution Authorizing the City Manager or designee to submit a grant application to the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) in the amount of $120,482.80 for the 2017 Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Project (STEP) within the Police Department, for Speed, Distracted Driving, and Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) overtime enforcement, with a city match of $42,158.03, for a total project cost of $162,640.83, and authorizing the City Manager or designee to accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager or the City Manager's designee is authorized to submit a grant application to the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) in the amount of$120,482.80 for the 2017 Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Project (STEP) within the Police Department, for Speed, Distracted Driving, and Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) overtime enforcement, with a city match of$42,158.03, for a total project cost of$162,640.83, and authorizing the City Manager or designee to accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant. SECTION 2. The City Manager or the City Manager's designee may accept, reject, agree to alter the terms and conditions, or terminate the grant, if said grant is awarded to the City. SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned, in full, to the Texas Department of Transportation.
