ratifying the submission of a grant application in the amount of $181,873.20 to
the Office of the Governor for the SWAT Ballistic Protection Equipment
project; and authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to
accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant.
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi finds it in the best interest of the citizens of
Corpus Christi, that the SWAT Ballistic Protection Equipment be utilized for the year
of 2017;
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi agrees provide applicable matching funds for
the said project;
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi agrees that in the event of loss or misuse of
the Office of the Governor funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds
will be returned to the Office of the Governor in full;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Council ratifies the submission a grant application in the
amount of $181 ,873.20 for the SWAT Ballistic Protection Equipment project to the
Office of the Governor.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, may apply for,
accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant.
