ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF WASTEWATER RESERVES IN THE
AMOUNT OF $241,335.85 IN FUND NO. 4249 TO PROJECT E16331
FOR PAYMENT TO NATIONAL POWER RODDING FOR EMERGENCY
WASTEWATER REPAIRS ON MAY 17 AND MAY 22, 2016; CHANGING
THE FY 2015-2016 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 030621 TO INCREASE EXPENDITURES BY
$241,335.85; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Whereas, on May 17, 2016 and May 22, 2016, emergency wastewater repairs were
needed to repair cave-ins located at Wooldridge Road and at Melisa Lane and Treyway
Lane,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $241 ,335.85 is transferred from Wastewater reserves in Fund 4249
to project E16331 for payment to National Power Rodding of Chicago, IL for emergency
wastewater repairs on May 17, 2016 and May 22, 2016.
SECTION 2. That the FY 2015-2016 capital improvement budget adopted by
Ordinance No. 030621 is changed to increase expenditures by $241,335.85.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinan e i passed and t kes effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this theay of ,
2016.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an
emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.
