HomeMy WebLinkAbout031061 RES - 02/14/2017 Resolution Authorizing the submission of a grant application in the amount of $281,860.18 to the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division for funding available under the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) fund for the Police Department's Family Violence Unit to continue the Victim Outreach Program with a city match of $60,865.04 and $9,600 in-kind services, for a total project cost of $352,325.22; and authorizing the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant. Therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to submit a grant application to the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division in the amount of $281,860.18 for funding available under the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Fund for the Police Department's Family Violence Unit to continue the Victim Outreach Program with a city match of$60,865.04 and $9,600 in-kind services, for a total project cost of $352,325.22. SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, may apply for, accept, reject, agree to alter the terms and conditions, or terminate the grant, if the grant is awarded to the City. SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division in full.
