HomeMy WebLinkAbout031256 ORD - 09/26/2017 Ordinance to ratify increase of $4,034,005 in property tax revenues from last year's operating budget as reflected in the 2017-2018 operating budget; and declaring an emergency Whereas, Section 102.007 (c) of the Texas Local Government Code provides that adoption of a budget that will require raising more revenue from property taxes than in the previous year requires a separate vote of the governing body to ratify the property tax increase reflected in the budget and that a vote under this subsection is in addition to and separate from the vote to adopt the budget or a vote to set the tax rate; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Council ratifies the increase of$4,034,005 in property tax revenues from last year's operating budget as reflected in the 2017-2018 Operating Budget. SECTION 2.
