THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 53-104 AND WHEN PROPERLY
SIGNPOSTED, TRAFFIC SHALL MOVE ONLY IN ONE DIRECTION UPON
DESIGNATED SECTIONS OF LAWRENCE STREET AND BOTH DIRECTIONS IN
UNDESIGNATED SECTION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR
PUBLICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. City Code of Ordinances, Chapter 53 Traffic, Article VIII Schedules, Section
53-250 Schedule I – One-way streets and alleys, subsection (a) is revised to add a one-
way designation for a portion of Lawrence Street.
"Sec. 53-250. - Schedule I—One-way streets and alleys.
(a) In accordance with section 53-104 and when properly signposted, traffic shall
move only in the direction indicated upon the streets and alleys set out in this section. All
streets designated as one-way during school days shall be one-way only between those
hours established by the city manager, or such officers or employees of the city
designated by the city manager, so as to be compatible with school hours and when so
indicated by signs.

SECTION 2. If for any reason any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word
or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of
a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph,
subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent
of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or
provision hereof be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication shall be made one time in the official publication of the City of
Corpus Christi by publishing the caption stating the purpose of the ordinance. This
ordinance to become effective upon such publication.
