HomeMy WebLinkAbout031356 RES - 02/13/2018 Resolution authorizing submission of grant application for $216,469.70 to the State of Texas under the Victims of Crime Act with city match of $13,637.43 cash and $40,480 in-kind services Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas: SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes submission of the grant application to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division in the amount of $216,469.70 for funding available under the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Fund for the Police Department's Family Violence Unit to continue the Victim Outreach Program. SECTION 2. The City Council commits to provide for the applicable city match of $13,637.43 cash and $40,480 in-kind services, for a total project cost of $270,587.13. SECTION 3. The City Manager or the City Manager's designee may apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant. SECTION 4. In the event of the loss or misuse of these Office of the Governor funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division in full.
