Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant for purchase of body
cameras with a City cash match of$39,000; and appropriating $156,000 in
the Police Grants Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept a grant from the Texas Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice
Division through the U. S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, in the
amount of$156,000 for the State FY 2018 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance
Grant (JAG) Program with a City cash match of$39,000 from the No. 1074 Police Fund
for a total project cost of$195,000.
SECTION 2. That $156,000 is appropriated in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund for the
enhancement of law enforcement efforts by the Police Department.
