operating budget
Whereas, Section 102.007 (c) of the Texas Local Government Code provides that
adoption of a budget that will require raising more revenue from property taxes than in
the previous year does require a separate vote of the City Council to ratify the property
tax increase reflected in the budget; and that a vote under this subsection is in addition
to and separate from the vote to adopt the budget or a vote to set the tax rate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council ratifies the increase of $7,680,380 in property tax
revenues from last year's operating budget as reflected in the 2018-2019 operating
budget.
That the foregoing ordinance was ead for the-first time and passed to its second
reading on this the \ day of 2018, by the following vote:
