Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, in amount of$178,821 for FY 2018
Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program; and
appropriating $178,821 in Police Grants Fund to fund enhancement of law
enforcement efforts with $82,042 of funds distributed to Nueces County
and $14,736 of funds distributed to City of Robstown.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept a grant from the U. S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice
Assistance, in the amount of$178,821 for the FY 2018 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.
SECTION 2. That $178,821 is appropriated in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund for the
enhancement of law enforcement efforts by the Police Department and Nueces County
under an established interlocal agreement. Under the interlocal agreement, $82,042 of
the funds be distributed to Nueces County and $14,736 of the funds be distributed to
City of Robstown.
