PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act,
Section 551.045 of the following emergency for the City Council to consider at the
above meeting:
AGENDA ITEM:

1. Discussion and consideration of an Ordinance extending the local State of
Disaster declared by the Mayor on September 2, 2005; providing for
penalties; providing for severance; providing for publication; and declaring
an emergency.
This item in placed on the agenda because of reasonably unforeseeable situation
that Hurricane Katrina, a disaster in sister states, has created an emergency
disaster and emergency conditions for the people of the State of Texas. Also, that
the City Council be able to act as required to efficiently address problems and any
imminent threat to the public health and safety.

This agenda was posted on the City's official bulletin board at the front entrance
