CONSENT AGENDA 10.1. Motion clarifying that value -added services was a part of the Plan Management Agreement for Administrative Services with Humana Insurance Company and HumanaDental Insurance Company when it was approved on May 17, 2011 and authorizing the City Manager or designee to amend said agreement to reflect those services during the first year of the Agreement. PURPOSE Resolution requiring utilization of a formal application and review process prior to City Council consideration of requests for expenditure of any available Hotel Occupancy Tax funds for the Arts in the operating budget for City fiscal year 2012 -2013. BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS Recommendations for the use of Hotel Occupancy Tax funds for the Arts have followed various processes, including formal request for proposal, written request, and City Council motion. . ALTERNATIVES No formal process or preliminary review by Staff or appointed committee. Rose, Assistant City Manager RESOLUTION REQUIRING UTILIZATION OF A FORMAL APPLICATION AND REVIEW PROCESS PRIOR TO CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION OF REQUESTS FOR EXPENDITURE OF ANY AVAILABLE HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX FUNDS FOR THE ARTS IN THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR CITY FISCAL YEAR 2012 -2013. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Council shall require the utilization of a formal application and review process prior to the consideration of requests for expenditure of any available hotel occupancy tax funds for the arts in the Operating Budget for City Fiscal Year 2012 -2013. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall direct City staff to finalize a formal application and review process for City Council consideration prior to submittal of the proposed budget to City Council for City Fiscal Year 2012 -2013. SECTION 3. This Resolution is approved on this the 26 day of July, 2011.
