Rae Mooney Project Manager Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program BACKGROUND: Beginning in 1990, the State of Texas issued a series of Agreed Orders between the Texas Environmental Quality Commission (TCEQ), environmental interests and water users. These Agreed Orders, as they have been amended from time to time, set out operating requirements for Lake Corpus Christi, specific pass thru schedules from the Lake Corpus Christi/Choke Canyon reservoir system for the bay, and created the Nueces Estuary Advisory Council (NEAC).
