Coast Guard for 1.61 acres at Corpus Christi International Airport to extend
the term of the lease up to 20 years at an initial annual rate of $5,610.56 and
ratifying language in the lease documents as may be necessary to be
consistent with requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute an amendment to the
existing lease with the U.S. Coast Guard for approximately 1.61 acres at Corpus Christi
International Airport, such real property to be used for parking and storage purposes, in order to
extend the term of the lease up to a maximum of 20 years at an initial annual lease rate of
$5,610.56. Furthermore, the City Council ratifies any necessary modifications and corrections to
the language in the lease and lease amendment documents as may be required to be consistent
with requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard.
SECTION 2. If, for any reason, any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or
provision of this ordinance is held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgement of a court, it may
not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word, or provision of this
ordinance, for it is the definite intent of this City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision,
clause, phrase, word, or provision of this ordinance be given full force and effect for its purpose.
SECTION 3. Publication of this ordinance must be made twice in the official publication of the City
of Corpus Christi, with all publication costs to be paid by the tenant, as required by the City
Charter.
SECTION 4. This ordinance is effective on and after the 61st day of passage.
