Authorizing the City Manager or his designee to make application to
Texas State Library for Interlibrary Loan Service for the South Texas
Library System, and to execute all documents related to this grant
for the period September 1, 1983 to August 31, 1984. The
Interlibrary Loan Program serves public, academic and special
libraries in a 26- county area of South Texas. The purpose of the
program is to facilitate the exchange of materials among libraries by
lending items from the Major Resource Center, La Retama Library,
and acting as a referral center for items not contained in the Corpus
Christi collection. The 1982 -83 ILL budget was $91,119, which
provided for three full -time library employees, computer time and
related administrative services.
