MOTIONS - 7/17/84
A motion was made by Council Member Joe McComb that the City council set
the tax rate for the fiscal year 1984 -85 at 56.81 per $100 valuation; and that
it is further their intent to reduce the tax rate proportionate to the increase
in valuations of property according to the final appraisal report as compared to
what they are today; and further to decrease the tax rate 1.1C, all of the above
dependent upon the defeat of Proposition 3 of the Charter Amendment Election.
Further that the City Council will also continue the homestead, senior
citizen, disability and disabled veterans exemption, and the discount system.
The motion was seconded by Council Member Brown and passed by a vote of 9
to 0.
