MOTIONS - 10/2/84
Approving a twelve months supply agreement, with option to extend for an
additional twelve months, at the same terms and conditions, subject to the
approval of the supplier, and the City Manager, or his designee, for 10,000
ft. of ductile iron pipe, size 4 " -24" and 30 " -48 "; 51,925 ft. of asbestos
concrete pipe, size 6 " -16" with accessories; and 10,000 ft. of poly vinyl
chloride pipe to the following companies based on low bids:
American Cast Iron Pipe McAllen Pipe & Supply Co. Corpus Christi Pipe & Supply
Dallas, Tx Corpus Christi, Tx Corpus Christi, Tx
Ductile Iron Pipe Asbestos Concrete Pipe & Poly Vinyl Chloride Pipe
Size 4 " -24" & 30 " -48" Accessories (Lot 4)

GRAND TOTAL: $347,602.36
Ten bid invitations were issued, five bids were received. Prices have
increased an average of approximately 7.9% on the ductile iron pipe, 1.1%
on asbestos cement pipe with accessories, and remained the same on poly
vinyl chloride pipe from last contract of May, 1983.
