2. Authorizing the City Manager or his designee to submit:
a. An application to the National Endowment for the Arts for matching
funds in the amount of $15,000 for the third and final year (FY
1985 -86) of the City Arts program initiated in 1983; and,
b. An application to the Texas Commission on the Arts for matching funds
in the amount of $10,000 for the first year (FY 1985 -86) of the
Challenge Grant for Local Art Agencies.
Both grants would be used to expand the City's support of performing arts
and would utilize the Municipal Arts Commission to review and recommend
programs to the City Council for future funding.
