Why was this change necessary? (If left off the plans and specifications, explain why)
The quantity of flex duct to be replaced required an internal and external inspection that
could not be reasonably undertaken prior to biddinq. A bid item to establish a unit price
taken on an estimated cluanity as part of the unit/quantity prices.
How can similar changes be avoided in the future? The cost of the inspection and
business disruption was not deemed worthwhile.
