N. SCOPE OF SERVICES shall be modified to include the following paragraph: BASIC SERVICES TASK 17.0 PROJECT MANAGEMENT 17.1 Project Work Plan Prepare project work plan and distribute to all project personnel. The work plan will include the project purpose and objectives, scope of work, an organization chart, project delivery schedule, project flow chart, and project budget. 17.2 Progress RepoNs Provide written project slatus reports to the OWNER by the 5th day of each month. These status reports will include a summary of tasks completed, tasks underway, and tasks yet to be started, as well as a summary o[ decisions made and issues to be addressed during the coming month. The report will identify items that may also impact project scope, schedule and budget. These reports will be delivered as part of the monthly progress payment request. 17.3 Project Progress Meetings Attend project meetings throughout the study phase as required to keep the OWNER informed on the progress, issues, and development. These meetings are described further as follows: a) Bi-weekly Project Status Conference Calls: Conduct project briefing meetings with the OWNER via telephone once every two weeks. The OWNER will provide use of their existing conference call system. b) Conduct formal monthly project progress meetings with the ENGINEER and OWNER at the OWNER's facilities. The ENGINEER will prepare an agenda [or each meeting 2005-125 03/21/05 AMENDMENT NO. 6 Page 1 of 4 AMENDMENT NO 6'AMENDMENT NO 6 LNV Engineering and will deliver the agenda to the OWNER no less than three days in advance of the meetings. The ENGINEER will record the meeting activities, action items, and decisions, in clear concise meeting notes that will be delivered to the OWNER no later than one week after each meeting. 17.4 Project Schedule Update the project schedule on a monthly basis, and provide the updated schedule to OWNER as pad ct the monthly progress payment request. 17.5 Presentation Materials At the request of the OWNER, provide up to two presentations, including a professional PowerPoint presentation, executive summary briefing documents, and other materials to inform and educate interested parties on the developments and recommendations of the Project. This scope assumes that these briefings may be provided as frequently as once per quarter for the duration of the project. TASK 18.0 DEVELOPMENT AND APPROVAL OF TEST PROTOCOL 18.1 Data Review Review ONSWTP raw water, production, and treatment data to determine appropriate flows, temperatures, disinfection dosage, and hydraulic residence time data to be used during the challenge testing. 18.2 Develop Draft Challenge Test Protocol Based on data review from Task 18.1 and the typical test protocol presented in Appendix G-2 of the Surrace Water Treatment Rule, develop a Draft Challenge Test Protocol. Submit draft protocol to the OWNER. 18.3 Obtain approval of Test Protocol Upon OWNER's approval of the dra[t test protocol, meet with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and obtain its approval of the test protocol. Finalize the Challenge Test Protocol. TASK 19.0 DISINFECTION CHALLENGE STUDY NOTE: The estimate of effort and cost to perform the Disinfection Challenge Study will be negotiated and approved in writing by the Director of Engineering Services following City and TCEQ approval of the Challenge Test Protocol developed in Task 18.0 19.1 Perform Challenge Study Perform the challenge study in accordance with the TCEQ-approved Challenge Study Protocol developed in Task 1 8,0, AMENDMENT NO. 8 Page 2 of 4 TASK 20 PREPARE CHALLENGE TEST REPORT NOTE: The estimate of effort and cost to prepare the Challenge Test Summary Report will be negotiated and approved in writing by the Director of Engineering SeFvices following City and TCEQ approval of the Challenge Test Protocol developed in Task 18.0 20.1 Draft Report Subconsultant will prepare a Draft report which will summarize the findings of the challenge testing. An electronic version (PDF file) of the Draft Report will be provided to the OWNER for review and comment. One (1) bound copy of the Draft Report will also be provided 20.2 Final Report Incorporate comments received from the OWNER, as appropriate, finalize the report, and submit an electronic version (Word file) of the Final Report to the OWNER. ADDITIONAL SERVICES TASK 21.0 REGULATORY ASSISTANCE 21.1 At the request of OWNER, ENGINEER will provide technical analysis and consulting to assist OWNER in negotiating with State and Federal regulatory agencies having an interest in the project. 3. Fees Summary of Fees - See Summary of Fees attached as Exhibit "B" Summary of Fees. All other terms and conditions of the April 22, 2003 contract between the City and Engineer, and of any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full force and effect. STEVENS WATER TREATMENT PLANT FACILITY ANALYSIS CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI (PROJECT NO. 8426) AMENDMENT NO. 6 DISINFECTION CHALLENGE STUDY TASK LIST This Task Order is issued by the OWNER and accepted by the ENGINEER pursuant to the mutual promises, covenants and conditions contained in the Agreement between the above named parties dated the 15th day of April, 2003, in connection with the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (OWNER) O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant Facility Analysis. PURPOSE The purpose of this Task Order is to set forth the requirements, schedule, and payment provisions associated with the ENGINEER's tasks pertaining to the O.N. Stevens Disinfection Challenge Study (Project), in accordance with the Agreement as amended between ENGINEER and OWNER. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY SUBONSULTANT The OWNER is contemplating a change in disinfection technique and wishes to determine the potential impacts of the change. The objective of this work is to perform a disinfection challenge study in accordance with the requirements of Appendix G-2 of the Surface Water Treatment Rule to verify the effectiveness ol~ the proposed change in disinfection technique. ENGINEER's services to be provided under this Task Order include Basic and Additional Services. A synopsis of these services follows: Basic Services: Task 17.0 - Project Management Task 18.0 - Development ol~ Test Protocol Task 19.0 - Disinfection Challenge Study Task 20.0 Prepare Summary Report Additional Services: Task 21.0 - Regulatory Assistance These Basic and Additional Services are further described below: IAMD. The OWNER will participate in meetings with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. TIME OF PERFORMANCE All work in this Task Order shall be completed by the ENGINEER on or before the dates indicated in Table A.
