The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "CITY", and Urban Engineering, hereina[ter called
"Consultant," agree to the following amendment to the Contract lor Professional Services tor Downtown
Draln~3e Improvements, Phase 1, Prolect B - Kinney Street Pump Station {Prolect No. 2242), as
authorized and administratively amended by:

Exhibit "A" of the original contract and Exhibit "A" of Amendment No. 1 under SCOPE OF SERVICES
shall be modified as shown in the attached Exhibit "A" by adding the following:
ADDITIONAL SERVICE NO. 8 - NEW OFFICE BUILDING AND AUTOMATED GATE ACCESS
Exhibit "A" of Amendment No. 1, Section 3. FEES shall be modified as shown in the attached Exhibit
"A" to add an additional fee of $24,536.0O to the contract.
Exhibit "A-1" Task List is added to the contract.
All other terms and conditions of the August 28, 2003 contract and amendments between Ihe City and
Consultant will remain in tull force and effect.

Dear Jerry:
We were requested by Storm Water Staff to add to the scope of the subject project a
new office building and automated access gate. The new office is to be located adjacent to and
on the nodh side of the new pump station. It will be provided with a bathroom containing
shower facilities and will have access to the pump station electrical room, The proposed fence
between the existing and new structures will be relocated along the north property line and an
automated gate system provided. Automated gate will allow staff to open gate from their vehicle
and enter parking area.
We request that our present AE contract be amended to add the engineering services to
accomplish this additional work (see attached Exhibit A-1 for description). Altached please find
the following:

3. Sub-Consultant fee proposals

DOWNTOWN DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS DESIGN
ADDITIONAL SERVICE NO. 8 - New Office Building and Automated Gate Access
1. Meet with Storm Water and Engineering Services Staff to review project and determine
scope.
2. Prepare building layouts end review with staff. New office to be provided with office ,space
and bathroom with shower facilities.
3. Provide civil, structural, electrical and mechanical services to design the new office end
access gate to meet staff requirements.
4. Structural design to account for connection to new pump stat]on structure and location along
property line. Design also to inctude structural features to account for office foundation area
being excavated approx. 25 feet to construct pump station wet well.
5. Provide access gate design to relocate proposed gate to along north property line between
existing pump station and proposed new office end redesign gate to be provided with en
electhc drive system and micro-process con~'oller to allow automated access control.
Coordinate with City staff and automated gate sul~lier to provide the City's latest standard
automated gate system.
6. Prepare 60% submittal plans to add to existing project.
7. Review with C¢~y staff.
8. Prepare 90% submittal plans and specifications and review with staff.
9. Prepare final plans and specifications.
10. Prepare addendum documents and assist City in issuing any addendum necessary for
bidding the office building and access gate.
11. Provide bidding assistance.
12. During construction review submittals, answer Contractor questions and perform visits to
determine if the work is being done in accordance with the contract documents.
13. Include with punch lists for total project and perform final walkthrough with City staff.
14. Include with final acceptance of project.
