From and after the date this agreement is approved and adopted by 1he Ooverning Bod~ of the cities which a~e parties hereto, and for a period often (10) year~ thereafter, the City · .,t' P~land. SECTION S. The City of Portland will excrci~e control over the delivery of ~ in the above- de~.Tibed area so that all new w~ter customers will he required to conam~ water sy~m~ meeting thc standards of the City of Portland for new subdivisions and will be required to ~xmnect to the wa~er system of the City of Portland. In this regm~ the City of Portlmxl will tike all ~eps ~ly available to it to stop any other governmental juritdiction or g c~on~m from providing w~t,.,- servic~ or e~tending any existing w~t~ ~'vice to mq~ ne~ ctatomers in the above d~-~ribed area.
